This 925 sterling silver ring is a double heart design set with marcasite stones.  "Marcasite" in jewelry is almost always faceted iron pyrite (commonly known as "Fool's Gold"), as true mineral marcasite is too brittle for everyday wear.  Marcasite in jewelry is prized for its metallic luster that offers a subtle, "antique" alternative to the flashiness of diamonds.
